CTU Art Gallery
Located on the 4th floor of CTU’s Academic and Conference Center, at 5416 S. Cornell, the art gallery exhibits the work of artists from as close as Chicago to as far away as Australia. The purpose of The Mary-Frances and Bill Veeck Gallery is twofold: to nurture an appreciation for and understanding of art, and to communicate truth through the senses and emotions.
The artists who exhibit are diverse and invoke the human imagination a spiritual dimension so that truth and beauty are enlivened. Past featured artists have included: photographer Michael Abramson, sculptor Jerry Bleem, painter Lillian Brulc, digital artist Delle Chatman, poet/illustrator Bob Haverluck, iconographer Laura James, painter Janis Pozzi-Johnson, renowned “Jesus of the People” artist Janet McKenzie, illustrator Franklin McMahon, painter Marya Veeck, and fiber artist Laurie Wohl, among others. In 2000, CTU hosted the Jesus 2000 Art Show which featured the top works of 44 artists from around the world on the subject of the search for a contemporary Jesus.
