Please join us for a the 4th annual Duns Scotus lecture, celebrating Franciscan Brother-Sisterhood and its contribution to Catholic Theological Union, the wider
church, and interfaith dialogue. We are honored to welcome Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, writer and author Paul Moses. Currently professor of English at
Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, Prof.Moses enjoyed a distinguished career in journalism before returning to the classroom. He served
as city editor, Brooklyn editor, City Hall bureau chief and religion writer at Newsday’s New York city edition. A reporter for the Associated Press, he has also written for Commonweal, America, the Village Voice, and CNN.com.
His innovative book on St. Francis and Islam - The Saint and the Sultan: The Crusades, Islam and Francis of Assisi’s Mission of Peace (Doubleday, 2009) - was awarded the 2010 Catholic Press Association's highest honor for best history book of the year.
