Charles R. Strain
Charles R. Strain is Professor of Religious Studies at DePaul University and a teacher in DePaul’s Peace, Justice and conflict Studies Program. Strain teaches courses in Liberation Theology, Social Justice, Socially Engaged Buddhism and Zen Buddhism. Strain has published articles on Liberation theology, a book on practical theology and several articles comparing Catholic social teachings with socially engaged Buddhism. He has just completed a book entitled The Prophet and the Bodhisattva: Daniel Berrigan, Thich Nhat Hanh and the Ethics of Peace and Justice.
