Tolton Week

February 24 - March 1, 2014

Tolton Week is a special time at CTU that features activities throughout the week culminating in the exciting Harambee! event on March 1st. We hope you can join us!

The Augustus Tolton Pastoral Ministry Program at Catholic Theological Union is a one of its kind academic, scholarship, formation and mentoring program that prepares Black Catholic women and men for ministerial leadership in the Church.  We welcome your presence and support for this unique program.


Tolton Week events February 24 - March 1, 2014
Feb 24-26 Tolton Book Fair/Marketplace, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily, 2nd floor. Come peruse discounted books and beautiful African artwork and jewelry.
Feb. 24 Tolton open House, 5:30 p.m., Room 504
Visit CTU and learn more about the Tolton Scholars Program.
Feb. 25 Tolton cinema: Life of Fr. Augustus Tolton, 4 p.m., Room 304. Short documentaries on the life of Fr. Tolton, who is being considered for canonization in the Church.
Feb. 26 Tolton lecture: Perseverance in the Parish: An Examination of Religious Attitudes Through A Black Catholic Lens. Presenters: Donald Pope-Davis, PhD, Distintuished Professor of Psychology at DePaul University; and Dr. Darren Davis, PhD, Professor of Political Science at Notre Dame University. 4 p.m., Room 210 B and C.
