Thank you for making the 2017 Blessed are the Peacemakers

Benefactors to Catholic Theological Union are partners in our service to the Church and world.  We invite you to join us as partners in mission.

As an esteemed Roman Catholic graduate school of theology and ministry, your investment will have a lasting impact as we train the future leaders of our international faith community—persons who serve as priests, pastoral associates, hospital and prison chaplains, lay ecclesial ministers, catechists, and more—in the United States and across the globe.

The time has come for religious leaders to cooperate more effectively in the work of healing wounds, resolving conflicts and pursuing peace. – Pope Francis

Catholic Theological Union occupies a unique position as a graduate school of theology and ministry where religious and lay men and women study side by side.

More than 65 people participated in CTU’s latest Sunday at CTU this past June 4th.

Sr. Joanne Jaruko Doi, MM explored her family’s personal history as internees at the Manzanar and Heart Mountain detention camps and considered the significance of that moment in American history as we encounter new Executive Orders, 75 years later.

Catholic Theological Union celebrated its 49th annual commencement on Thursday, May 11th at K.A.M. Isaiah Israel Congregation in the Hyde Park Neighborhood of Chicago.

As part of the celebration, graduates and guests heard from the esteemed recipients of CTU’s honorary doctorates, Sr. Simone Campbell, SSS, Executive Director of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice, and Rev. Ronald Rolheiser, OMI, President of the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas. You can see a highlight of each of their addresses below.
