Student life at CTU
Beyond the classroom
There is much more to being a student at Catholic Theological Union than the classes, readings, and papers typically associated with graduate work. CTU is a place where students from all walks of life and corners of the globe come together and build a faith community that reflects the diverse face of the Catholic Church today. From the beginning, CTU has also been dedicated to ecumenical and interreligious dialogue and welcomes students from the Jewish, Muslim, and other Christian traditions.
Together, students learn theology and ministry. They gather, pray, worship, and grow alongside one another. Whether studying and preparing for the priesthood, religious life, lay ecclesial ministry, or seeking personal development through continuing education, CTU is a place where everyone can feel at home.
CTU has both commuter and residential students, with on-campus housing available. There are many opportunities for students to get involved beyond the classroom. Students participate in social gatherings, student-based organizations, daily liturgy, cultural events, and lectures offered throughout the year.
