Catholics on Call Young Adult Summer Conference 2011 accepting applications

May 19, 2011

Are you, or is someone you know, a young adult discerning a life of service in the Church as a lay ecclesial minister, religious sister or brother, or priest?  Consider attending the Catholics on Call Young Adult Summer Conference 2011.  Geared towards 18-30-year-old contemplating lives of service, vocation, or ministry, Catholics on Call is currently accepting applications for their four-day summer conference.  The conference takes place at Catholic Theological Union, 5401 South Cornell Avenue, Chicago, August 9-13, 2011.

Conference partipants have the opportunity to:

  • Pray together, share stories, dreams, and concerns, and enjoy the company of like-minded young adults.
  • Hear nationally-known speakers offer insights about how to listen to God’s call in our lives.
  • Meet outstanding church ministers who share the stories of their service and how they came to hear God’s call.
  • Learn discernment skills and different styles of prayer.

Interested young adults should complete an application and a personal statement and provide two letters of recommendation by Monday, June 6.  Approximately 40-45 spaces are available at the 2011 conference.
