Season of Welcome

Please join the CTU community for our Season of Welcome events as we celebrate the inauguration of our seventh president, Mark R. Francis, CSV, and open a new chapter in CTU’s history of preparing women and men for leadership in the Church and beyond. All events held at CTU’s Academic and Conference Center, 5416 S. Cornell Ave., unless otherwise noted.

Sunday, Oct. 27, 3 p.m.: Inauguration of CTU’s seventh president, Mark R. Francis, CSV, at K.A.M. Isaiah Israel Congregation. Reception follows. Visit ctu.edu/inauguration for details.

Sunday, Nov. 10, 3 p.m.: President Mark Francis, CSV, will speak on Vatican II and the Liturgy: A Vision of Church Still to be Realized. The Rev. Francis will explore the way that the bishops of Vatican II saw that the key to both reform and updating the Church depended on a renewal of Catholic liturgical life. While the vision of Church contained in the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy was partially implemented, the whole of that vision remains to be fully realized. Liturgy at 4 p.m. Reception follows. RSVP by Nov.2 at rsvp-Sundays@ctu.edu or call 773.371.5410.

Sunday, Dec. 8, 3 – 5 p.m.: Lessons and Carols. Join us as we bring our Season of Welcome to a beautiful close with the century-old tradition of uniting Scripture and song for a special Advent celebration. RSVP by Nov. 29 at rsvp-lessons@ctu.edu or call 773.371.5410.
