Fr. Thomas Reese, SJ,is a political scientist and a senior analyst for National Catholic Reporter. From 1998 to 2005, he served as editor-in-chief of America magazine. Under his leadership, the magazine fostered inquiry into and the discussion and
debate of politics, economics and other topics relevant to the contemporary Church. Prior to his time at America, he was a writer and lobbyist for tax reform.

This event is in support of CTU's OLA student group, and features dinner, dance, drinks and recognition of graduates!  There will be karaoke in Spanish, English, and Tagalog.  Tickets are $15 in advance/$20 at the door. Archbishop Oscar Romero was born on August 15, 1917, and was assassinated on March 24, 1980.

After leaving school as a young man, he became a carpenter but soon decided that he wanted to become a priest. In 1977, Oscar Romero was appointed the Archbishop of San Salvador, and became a dedicated advocate on behalf of the poor and oppressed in El Salvador.
