Archbishop Oscar Romero was born on August 15, 1917, and was assassinated on March 24, 1980.

After leaving school as a young man, he became a carpenter but soon decided that he wanted to become a priest. In 1977, Oscar Romero was appointed the Archbishop of San Salvador, and became a dedicated advocate on behalf of the poor and oppressed in El Salvador.

Abraham's Children is a journey to Israel and Palestine.  This graduate theological seminar introduces basic elements of the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faith traditions through the lens of interreligious relations and understanding.  Abraham’s Children is facilitated in cooperation with Temple Sholom and Elmhurst College.
