Fall 2011: Lives of Service, Journeys of Joy
Featuring the photography of Jim Daniels
"Lives of Service, Journeys of Joy," the Autumn 2011 exhibit at the Mary-Frances and Bill Veeck Gallery, features the photography of the late Jim Daniels and focuses on the work of Maryknoll Missionaries around the world. In early October, over two hundred people assembled at CTU to celebrate and dialogue about mission, as a part of the Maryknoll Centennial Symposium.
From the book, Lives of Service: Stories from Maryknoll:
"Lives of Service" takes us on an inspiring journey of faith and discovery. Through the work of the late photojournalist, Jim Daniels, we encounter the world of Maryknoll -- a Catholic family of priests, Sisters, Brothers and lay missioners, working in service among the poor and faithful in over thirty countries. Daniels portrays, in compelling photographic imagery, the story of men and women who strive to live the Gospel and seek the face of God among the diverse cultures and peoples of the world."
