The Workshop Presenters will include Catholic Theological Union Faculty members:
Rev. Edward Foley, Capuchin, Duns Scotus Professor of Spirituality, Professor of Liturgy and Music
Ed Foley preaches and presides at Old St. Pat’s in Chicago. A respected teacher and scholar he is past-president of the North American Academy of Liturgy and co-founder of the Catholic Academy of Liturgy. Among his 19 books is Preaching Basics (LTP, 1998). Editor of Preach Magazine (World Library Publications, 2003-6), he has written and lectured widely on preaching and the Sunday Homily.
Dianne Bergant, C.S.A., Professor of Old Testament Studies
Dianne Bergant was President of the Catholic Biblical Association of America. From 2002 through 2005, Bergant wrote the weekly column "The Word" for America magazine. Some of her many publications include: A Word for Every Season (Paulist Press, 2008), Scripture (Engaging Theology: Catholic Perspectives), (Liturgical Press, 2008), and Preaching the New Lectionary (Years B,C,A) (Liturgical Press, 1999/2000/2001).
Rev. Richard Fragomeni, Associate Professor of Liturgy and Preaching
Richard Fragomeni is a presbyter of the Diocese of Albany, New York. A much sought after preacher and presenter, he was a collaborator with Dianne Bergant in the widely acclaimed Preaching the New Lectionary. A founder of the North American Catechumenate Forum, Richard is the Spiritual Director of the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii in Chicago’s Little Italy. Central to his work is the power of liturgy and preaching in the transformation of consciousness.
