Catholic Theological Union (CTU), the largest Roman Catholic graduate school of theology and ministry in the United States, is seeking a new President to succeed the Rev. Donald Senior, C.P., who is retiring from the office at the end of the academic year, June 30, 2013, after 23 years of service.

Sponsored by 24 religious communities of men and having a student body composed of seminarians as well as lay men and women preparing for various ministries, CTU is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. CTU enjoys an international reputation for educational excellence. It has multiple degree, certificate, and continuing education programs, an outstanding faculty, and a strong commitment to ecumenical and interreligious dialogue.

The President of CTU is the Chief Executive Officer of the school, reports to the Board of Trustees, and is responsible for the overall well-being of the institution. Candidates for the office will be a Roman Catholic religious order priest in good standing, hold a terminal degree in theology or a related discipline, demonstrate proven administrative leadership capacity and experience, have the aptitude to relate to various publics, be committed to the work of institutional advancement, and be at home in the context of Catholic graduate theological and ministerial education.
