Women in Ministry is open to any interested women students, staff, and faculty. The group meets several times each semester for a simple supper, reflection on the Scriptures, and faith sharing from the particular context of challenges facing women in ministry today. Please join us on Monday, June 10th for our summer session.

CTU has partnered with Catholic Extension to offer education to lay leaders in mission dioceses working in the Church. This is a five-year degree program, which results in a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies.

Courses are completed primarily online, enabling the student to remain in his or her local diocese.

The core experience of the Peacebuilders Initiative is the weeklong summer program. Our participants learn the theology of peacebuilding, develop leadership skills, experience hands-on ministry in Chicago, and live in community with other Peacebuilders on our Hyde Park campus in Chicago.

The summer program lays the foundation in our goal to prepare Catholic young people to become agents of positive change in their schools, parishes, and neighborhoods.

This experience is designed for women and men (ages 18 to 30) who may be thinking about a life of service in the Church as a lay minister, religious sister or brother, or priest, and those who are undecided and want guidance in determining how God is calling them.

“Let us, then, pray with all fervor for this peace which our divine Redeemer came to bring us.” -  Pope John XXIII


Our vigil for peace will feature the words of John XXIII and prayers of the CTU community for peace in our global community.  This vigil is being organized by CTU students and is sponsored by the Bernardin Center.
