Dr. Paul Farmer, the 2015 Blessed are the Peacemakers Award recipient, will address the CTU community on Wednesday, April 29 at 12:30 pm in room 210 B and C. All CTU students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to attend. Dr. Farmer is an internationally renowned physician, anthropologist, and humanitarian. He is the co-founder of Partners In Health, an organization dedicated to creating a preferential option for the poor in health care. Learn more about his work at PIH here. Join us from September to December 2015 for Care for Creation: Scripture, Science, and Ethics with Dawn Nothwehr, OSF, and Mark J. Potosnak. In anticipation of Pope Francis’ 2015 encyclical on ecology, Catholic Theological Union presents this public lecture series on the Church and the environment. The course will provide the foundations for Catholic Social Teaching on environmental issues, such as ethical sources and norms, doctinal warrants, biblical themes, and science for environmental literacy.
