The Black Catholic Theological Symposium (BCTS) will hold its 25th annual meeting October 9-12, 2014 at Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in Chicago, IL. The meeting begins with the BCTS Public Lecture on Thursday at 7pm. Dr. Kimberly Flint-Hamilton, Professor of Archaeology and History at Stetson University in Deland FL will deliver the lecture, titled, "What we will be has not yet appeared (1 John 3:2) - Black Catholic Scholarship, History and the Dynamics of Change." Fr. Mark Francis, CSV, will deliver the opening welcome. All are invited to attend.

Making a Difference: A Course for Those Who Minister is an interfaith, three-day workshop for lay and ordained persons in ministry. The course runs from September 12-14, 2014 and costs $300. There is a $150 special rate for CTU Student.

The conference dates for NALM are May 29 -31.  The NALM ministers Institute is May 28-29

Faculty presenters from CTU include: Steve Bevans, SVD; Eileen Crowley; and C. Vanessa White;  timone davis, graduate of CTU Tolton Scholars Program, will also be a featured speaker.

The core experience of the Peacebuilders Initiative is the weeklong summer program. Our participants learn the theology of peacebuilding, develop leadership skills, experience hands-on ministry in Chicago, and live in community with other Peacebuilders on our Hyde Park campus in Chicago.

The summer program lays the foundation in our goal to prepare Catholic young people to become agents of positive change in their schools, parishes, and neighborhoods.

Every summer, Catholics On Call hosts an annual four-day program at Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in Chicago. This experience is designed for women and men (ages 18 to 30) who may be thinking about a life of service in the Church as a lay minister, religious sister or brother, or priest, and those who are undecided and want guidance in determining how God is calling them.
