A Conversation with One of the Most Distinguished Scholars of the Muslim World
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri is one of the greatest scholars of Islam in the contemporary world. Born and raised in Pakistan, he obtained a doctorate in Islamic Law from the University of Punjab, Lahore, where he later served as its youngest professor. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has authored over one thousand books and delivered more than seven thousand audio lectures. His books and seminars are studied by millions around the world. Dr. tahir-ul-Qadri is founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran, a global movement for moral, intellectual and spiritual revival among Muslims. In addition to being a great scholar of Islamic sciences, Quranic hermeneutics, Hadith and Jurisprudence, he is one of the greatest Sufi masters of our age. His spiritual lineage goes back to the Prophet of Islam (SAW) passing through great luminaries of the Sufi path such as Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R) and Shaykh Mohiyuddin Ibn Arabi (R). As a proponent of global peace and harmony, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has been at the forefront of the struggle against Muslim extremism and militancy resulting in several death threats. His five-hundred-page detailed legal edict (fatwa) against violence and suicide bombing is the most authoritative work on this topic. For details visit www.minhaj.org and www.minhajusa.org.
