2011 Bernardin Award and Murnion Lecture:
"Communion Across Generations: The Challenge and Promise of Intergenerational Dialogue"

The evening will feature the presentation of the annual Cardinal Bernardin Award to Rev. J. Bryan Hehir, the Parker Gilbert Montgomery Professor of the Practice of Religion and Public Life at Harvard University and the Secretary for Health and Social Services, Archdiocese of Boston. The award presentation will be followed by the annual Murnion Lecture, “Communion Across Generations” given by Sr. Patricia Wittberg, SC, author and Professor of Sociology at Indiana/Purdue University, Indianapolis. After the lecture, participants will dialogue about what can be done to enhance a vibrant sense of ecclesial communion that celebrates intra and inter generational diversity and unity.
