Enrollment Requirements
Federal Student Financial Aid
Half-time enrollment is required to receive federal loans.
To be considered half-time a CTU student must be enrolled in at least 4 credit hours during the fall and 4 credit hours during the spring semesters if the loan is for the full year. Full-time enrollment is defined as 8-12 credit hours. However, a CTU student may be considered enrolled half-time in a semester if any of the following conditions apply:
- Studying for Comprehensive Exams or
- Writing a Thesis
For J-Term and Summer Institute, a CTU student must be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour to be considered enrolled half-time.
