Doctor of Ministry
The program requires two core colloquia (the first of which begins with a one week intensive in the fall ), six other courses (four inside and two outside the area of concentration), a leadership practicum, and the D.Min. thesis-project. The minimum time required for the course work, aside from the thesis-project is one full academic year. Preparation and approval of the thesis-project requires approximately one full academic year. The entire program can be completed in two academic years, or it can be spread over three or more years. Flexibility in the program allows participants to pursue the degree on a part-time basis.
Please note that this is not a summer program, nor designed for distance learning. With the exception of Core I (with its opening orientation intensive), all courses follow the regular semester schedule. While we have had students who have commuted from Milwaukee, St. Louis, Detroit, and even Miami, the program is designed for students who can either spend an entire semester with us twice over a period of four years, or students who can be with us one day a week on the semester system.
