Catholic Theological Union has a rich tradition of academic excellence and of preparing men and women for a life ministry and service. As a means to help students fulfill their vocational goals and interests, CTU offers nine degree and ten certificate programs.

For those interested in ministry or are currently serving as ministers, the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, or one of our other Professional Ministerial Master degrees in Biblical Ministry, Hispanic Theology and Ministry, Intercultural Ministry, Justice Ministry, or Liturgy are available. For those interested in teaching theology, preparing for further graduate work, or seeking a position in the broader Church or faith-based organization, CTU offers the Master of Arts in Theology – General Academic or Research. And for those who have a Master of Divinity degree (or equivalent) and have served as a minister in the Church for more than five years, the Ecumenical Doctor of Ministry is available. Each degree program offers specializations or concentrations which will enable students to focus in an area of interest.

All of the degrees granted at CTU are fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).
