Carmen Nanko is a Catholic pastoral theologian with extensive experience in
ministry, teaching, and administration. Her teaching and research, which reflect
on ministry with youth and appreciation for contextual theologies, have focused
on areas of Catholic social teaching, U.S. Hispanic theologies, and on the
relationship between religion and popular culture. Her ministry includes
involvement with diverse communities and demonstrates commitments to
cross-cultural endeavors, ecumenical cooperation, interfaith relations, and
mentoring of pastoral ministers and religious educators. She is the author of
Campus Ministry: Identity, Mission, and Praxis .
