by Professor James Keenan, S.J., Boston College
James Keenan, S.J. is Professor of Moral Theology at Boston College. He has published, among other writings, The Context of Casuistry (1995), Catholic Ethicists on HIV/AIDS (2000), Moral Wisdom (2004), and Church Ethics and Its Organizational Context (2005). Professor Keenan’s lecture will deal with professional ethics for church ministers and the moral rights of church ministers.

"Christian Witness for Peace in the Holy Land"
by Archbishop Elias Chacour
Elias Chacour is Archbishop of the Melkite (Greek Catholic) Church of Haifa, Akko, Nazareth, and all of Galilee. Archbishop Chacour, a Palestinian-born Israeli citizen and Bishop of the Melkite (Greek Catholic) Church, obtained his B.A. in Theology and Biblical Studies at Saint Sulpice Seminary and the Sorbonne University, Paris. In 1968 he became the first Arab to study Bible and Talmud at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He obtained his Ph.D. in Ecumenical Theology at the University of Geneva in 1971 and has received a number of honorary doctorates from United States universities since. He is the founder and president of Mar Elias Educational Institutions and author of "Blood Brothers" and "We Belong to the Land" (which will be available at the event). Archbishop Chacour has received many international awards and has been nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
