“Which Religion Will Win?”: Dr. Scott Alexander, Associate Professor of Islam, explores the concept of “triumphalism” between faiths.
Join us on Sunday, August 29, at 3 p.m. for a lecture by Dr. Scott Alexander, Associate Professor of Islam, Chair of the Department of Intercultural Studies and Ministry, and Director of CTU’s Catholic-Muslim Studies Program.
Prof. Alexander will explore the nature of “triumphalism” in Christian-Muslim relations, examining whether it is an unavoidable consequence of competing universal truth claims, a deviation from biblical and quranic values, or a struggle for ultimate supremacy. The afternoon promises provocative inquiry and new perspectives on the history and future of Christian-Muslim relations.
The presentation will be followed by Sunday Eucharist, celebrated by Rev. John Eybel, M.M., and a reception.
The event will take place at the CTU Academic and Conference Center, 5416 South Cornell Avenue, Chicago, and complimentary parking will be available in the CTU garage. If you plan to attend, please R.S.V.P. by August 25 by phone at (773) 371.5411 or email at rsvp@ctu.edu.
