Experience Italy in March 2015!

CTU President Mark R. Francis, CSV, leads Peter's Way Tour

Prior to becoming the President of CTU in 2013, the Rev. Mark R. Francis, CSV, served for 12 years in Rome as the Superior General of the Viatorians. Having also obtained a Doctorate in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Sant'Anselmo in Rome, Fr. Francis is uniquely suited to lead travellers through the richly historical cities of Italy.

Dear Friends,

I would like to personally invite you to join us on our special trip to experience Italy as a crossroad of cultures. A crossroads that has produced beautiful and historic expressions of faith in painting, sculpture and architecture.

We will start our trip in Venice, la Serenissima, jewel of the Adriatic and site of magnificent art influenced by several Mediterranean cultures. After a brief stop in Padua, we will proceed to Ravenna, ancient Byzantine Capitol of Italy where we will see breathtaking mosaics in some of the best-preserved churches of the late Roman Empire.

From Ravenna we will travel to the spiritual heart of Italy—to Assisi. There we will imbibe the spirit of Saint Francis that permeates this Umbrian hill town that has given hope and inspiration to the world since the thirteenth century.

After stopping at Orvieto with its unforgettable Cathedral, we will finally make our way to Rome, the historic center of Western Christendom. There we will visit the ancient remains of Imperial Rome: the Forum, Coliseum and Capitol. We will attend the Holy Father’s general audience at the Vatican, visit the excavations underneath the Basilica where St. Peter is buried, and enjoy an exclusive evening visit to the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel. Most days we will celebrate Mass together.

Please consider joining us!
Rev. Mark R. Francis, CSV, President
